Casale Poggio Capanne (sleeps 2/4, 2/4 and 4/5)

Casale Poggio Capanne is an ancient building dating back to the medieval ages. It has now been restored into a charming country house, set high in the Umbrian hills and surrounded by the stunning landscape of the Tevere Valley.

It is owned by a lovely Italian couple who live on site, who are very hospitable and available to assist the guests. They have a large organic vegetable garden and invite all their guests to enjoy the produce freely. 

The property is situated on a well maintained road, 5 minutes from the main road linking Umbertide to Gubbio. It is a perfect location to visit the many highlights of the Province of Perugia and the nearby Province of Arezzo in Tuscany.

The properties have all been faithfully restored, maintaining the beauty of all the original features. The facade of the property has been fully restored in local stone and the gardens beautifully designed using native wild plants.

The swimming pool sits perched at the top of the property with stunning views across the valley, and surrounded by ancient olive trees. The pool is fully equipped with sun-loungers, umbrellas, an external shower  and there is an additional pool room with a second shower, wc and changing facilities.  

Above the pool there is an additional eating area, with tables, chairs and umbrellas and enjoying the spectacular views.

 

 

La Segreta (sleeps 2/4)

This is a gorgeous ground floor apartment, with a large shady paved area for guests to enjoy outdoor dining. This has been restored using reclaimed materials and maintains the original "Segreta" window.

The apartment consists of a light and spacious double bedroom, a bathroom with shower, a large living room with dining area, well equipped kitchen, sitting area with a sofa that transforms into 2 single or 1 double bed and satellite tv.

 

 

Il Granaio (sleeps 2/4)

The wonderful apartment is reached via a little bridge that is built over a beautiful archway and underneath is a private terrace area for the guests.

The apartment is beautifully designed and furnished with one large bedroom with either 2 single or 1 double bed, a bathroom with shower and a large living area with well equipped kitchen, dining area, sitting area with sofa that transforms into 2 single or 1 double bed and satellite tv.
 

 

La Torre (sleeps 4/5)

This is a stunning building built over 4 levels, which forms the main part of the building. A porch has been built to house the wonderful kitchen and a covered terrace contains a large outdoor dining table.

Small steps lead to the spacious living area which contains a beautiful dining room and sitting room, with satellite TV and Sky. Steps lead to the second level containing a double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower and further steps to the third level containing a second double bedroom with en suite bathroom with shower. The sitting room has a sofa that can also be turned into a single bed and so the whole apartment can very comfortably accommodate 5 guests. Guests can have access to landline internet.
